limmikin
Evil spirit in Navajo culture and is also known as the Yenaldlooshi. It stays invisible to human eyes only leaving large animal paw prints. Other clues that the Limmikin is around are banging on walls, knocking on windows, and scraping noises from its claws.
When the Limmikin does take physical form its attributes are red or yellow eyes, fanged snarl on face and the close appearance to a large wolf.
The way the Limmikin takes physical form is by taking over a human body. Most people never notice that this person has/had been possessed. The possessed will sometimes have yellows eyes which is what gives them away and if you yell '(name of possessed), you are a Skinwalker!' the Limmikin will be cast out and die/vanish.
